I'm a no longer a software engineer but still an engineer and desk jockey. I long to be outdoors. Almost all of my activites involve being out there. Canoeing, kayaking, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, running. I built my own cedar strip canoe and kayak and try to get as much use out of them as possible. I'm now building a 2nd canoe and writing about it on hubpages. I picked up a guitar a little over a year ago, and have been entertaining myself with it ever since. I've always wanted to play guitar and my approach is "hey it's for me, take my time, enjoy it, and don't put to much pressure on myself".
